I guess darkness serves a purpose: to show us that there is redemption through chaos. I believe in that. I think that’s the basis of Greek mythology.”  –Brendan Fraser

A sliver of light can break the darkness. In dark times, we learn lifelong lessons. Unfortunately, most people like to stand in the sunshine and be in love. But through struggle, and sometimes painful struggle, we learn lessons that last a lifetime. Let the power of redemption help you shake loose of challenges and strike a new path.

Redemption is the compassion and forgiveness you give to yourself after surviving a difficult time. The slate is clean. The lessons are learned. You drop the regret. It is time to begin again.

Some may pray to reach a point of redemption. Some may meditate. Some may even go to therapy. Journaling is always good. Whatever your methods, it is normal to have some dark times in life where we feel lost. After you find your way back, process it, appreciate the new wisdom, and move forward.
